Pt. Vishwa Mohan, the foremost disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar, attracted international attention by creating the Mohan Veena, an adaptation of the guitar incorporated with classical Indian string instruments including the sitar, sarod & veena.  He is also known as one of the most expressive, versatile and greatest slide players in the world and has mesmerized audiences with his electrifying performances around the world including in the USA, USSR, Canada, the Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, Switzerland, Denmark, then scaling the Gulf of Dubai, Al-Sharjah, Bahrain, Muscat, Abu Dhabi etc. and throughout India.

Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is considered to be one greatest cultural ambassador of India by elevating and showcasing the world the essence of Indian culture and its music. Pandit showcased his magic once again when he received the highest music award of the world, the Grammy award in 1994 along with Ry Cooder for their music album ‘A Meeting By a River.‘ He has also received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1998 and the Padma Shri in 2002.
